Summer 2024: 8000 yards of rock and dirt has been removed from the site to make a level spot for the new high school!
Groundbreaking Ceremony
April 2024: The entire school, along with parents and community members, turned out to watch the groundbreaking ceremony for the new high school. After a time of prayer and thanksgiving, Rex Bridges led everyone outside where Pastor Jeff Silveus, Principal Elisa DeWitt, and Brian Bovee of Bovee Construction Company took the first shovelfuls of dirt to mark the official start of work on the new high school building!
NEW HIGH SCHOOL Announcement and Plans
New High School Announcement and Plans
The ULCS School Board and the Evangelical Free Church Elder Board jointly announced plans to build a new high school for Upton Lake Christian School.
Chairman of the school board, Rich Evans, says, “The Lord has had this on my heart for 25 years. Now is the time to build the best it can be for God. I want our graduates to be leaders who stand for Christ and make a difference in the world.”
The high school will be a 2-story building near the church/elementary building. It will “be top-shelf, the best that it can be.” The new high school will be able to house more students, feature more classroom space and have an updated science lab.
